Daytona 500 2009

Good Morning everyone!!! I feel like I should be saying Merry Christmas, as happy & excited as I am!! I can't wait for the Green Flag to drop!!!

Well it wasn't a very good race IMO. It being cut short made it even worse.

Happy for my nephew because Matt Kenseth is his drivers so he was a happy boy yesterday.

I was really hoping to see a full race..but waiting until after midnight to re-start it would have been a bit crazy.

Perhaps if they had started the race at a somewhat normal time, they could have gotten the whole thing in. It was almost 4:00 here when the race started. They used to drop the green flag on the Daytona 500 between 1 & 1:30 pm eastern every year. What is up with the late starts?

Yeah - the pre-show was WAY too long. I know its the first race of the season and all but it was such a long day.

IDK, I think they are trying to compete with the Super Bowl Pre-game show. I did enjoy Keith Urban's concert, but still...

The pre race show at every race is WAY to long but the one at Daytona is just a shame.
